Description: The NSF-DOE Vera C. Rubin Observatory is introducing a series of webinars for current or future users of Rubin Observatory investigations. Each one-hour webinar in the series is designed to:
- Gain a better understanding of the science behind the topic
- Give insight into the details of the authentic data analysis process
- Highlight student misconceptions or learning confusions
- Demonstrate tips for how to use the widgets
- Provide an opportunity for you to ask questions
The first webinar of the series, Behind the Scenes: Exploding Stars, will take place on 23 April and will be recorded. The webinar will be in English.

Description: Gemini/NOIRLab staff will assist the Maunakea Observatories with a joint informational table at a Career Fair at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo.

Description: The annual Merrie Monarch Festival Parade is a cherished tradition that has been captivating audiences for decades. Celebrating its 62nd year in 2025, this iconic event not only celebrates the vibrant Hawaiian culture through hula and heritage of Hilo town but also shares its unique charm with the world. The Maunakea Observatories, Center for Maunakea Stewardship, and the Maunakea Visitor Information Station staff, friends and ʻohana will collectively march as a part of the parade supporting the community.
