This dark nebula that lies within IC 1396 was imaged with the Mosaic-1 imager on the Mayall 4-meter telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory. Dr. Travis Rector explains how this image was created in this video podcast recorded at the recent AAS meeting in Seattle.
