Educational Program: Project ASTRO

Project ASTRO is implemented in partnership with the Astronomical Society of the Pacific and focuses on connecting scientists with teachers and families. This program shares the practice of science with audiences and supports a STEM science curriculum aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards. Elements of the program are featured at events with NOIRLab host communities involving local schools, science centers and special family events.
