Dark Matter Galaxy Rotation
A fulldome visualization of a rotating galaxy. Stars and gas in the outer regions of galaxies orbit much faster than they should according to standard physics. Dark matter, which doesn't interact with light, is thought to be distributed in a halo around galaxies, providing the extra gravitational pull needed to keep the outer regions rotating at high speeds.
