Bureau of Land Management Aerial survey of KPNO after main part of Contreras Fire

This aerial survey of Kitt Peak National Observatory gives an overview after many aerial fire resources and on the ground firefighting crews, led by the Bureau of Land Management Eastern Area Type 2 Incident Management Team, have worked to protect the observatory from the Contreras Fire in very challenging terrain and weather conditions. Thanks to their valiant efforts, the KPNO and related scientific structures so far have remained intact.
