Constructing a New Era

The Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST), currently under construction on a mountaintop in Chile, has the potential to be one of the greatest scientific experiments in human history. This video, which features interviews with LSST leadership, telescope construction footage, and time-lapse photography of the Chilean night sky, provides an inspiring overview of this massive, complex, and exciting project. LSST is scheduled to begin operations in 2022.
