Snow at Cerro Tololo
A chilly winter at the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory (CTIO), then run by the US National Observatory. The round domes of the 16-inch telescopes stand in contrast to the jagged ridges of the snowy hills. This image was taken on 12 September 1967.
