Star Trails and Stargazers at Cerro Tololo

Teasing the stargazers for a night of wonderful observing, the twilight sky over the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory (CTIO) shows off some of its bright stars. These streaking stars will give way to thousands more once the darkness of the Chilean night finally sets in. The stargazers are parked outside the SMARTS 1.5-meter Telescope.
