Transition between Gemini and Hubble observations
Gif animation shows a transition between the Gemini South Mid-Infrared T-ReCS image of the Trapesium region of the Orion Nebula (left) and the optical Hubble Space Telescope WFPC2 image of the same field (right). Dust structures can be seen in unprecedented spatial detail in this T-ReCS image obtained at Gemini South. The brightest Trapesium stars are labeled in both images.
