Evolution of the C IV abundance as a function of redshift

Evolution of the C IV abundance as a function of redshift, expressed as the C IV contribution to the closing density of the universe. The new GNIRS points from Simcoe are shown are round dots at z = 5.40 - 5.72 and z = 5.72 - 6.21. The lower z points correspond to other studies described in Simcoe's paper.
