Gemini North Telescope Platform
A 360 panorama view inside the dome of the Gemini North telescope located near the summit of Maunakea in Hawai'i. This dome hosts the 8.1-meter primary mirror which, in this panorama, is obscured by the blue telescope mount. Reaching towards the top of the dome are the white trusses supporting the secondary mirror. This telescope is the northern counterpart of the Gemini South telescope in Cerro Pachón, Chile. Altogether, these large optical/infrared telescopes form the International Gemini Observatory.
