M6

This object, sometimes known as the Butterfly Cluster, is the first open cluster in Messier�s catalogue. At 1600 lightyears away, it is a beautiful binocular object.

This image was taken as part of Advanced Observing Program (AOP) program at Kitt Peak Visitor Center during 2014.
