M1M3 Cell Move CAID to Mirror Lab
Early in the morning on October 10, 2018, the Primary/Tertiary Mirror (M1M3) Cell (the steel structure that supports the mirror) was moved from CAID Industries, where it was manufactured, to the Richard F. Caris Mirror Lab on the University of Arizona campus. At the Mirror Lab it will be integrated with the M1M3 mirror, which is scheduled to be removed from storage and delivered to the Mirror Lab next week. Here, the Cell is lifted from the truck and moved into the Mirror Lab by crane.
