Moonset Above Rubin

The bright moon sets above the Vera C. Rubin Observatory on Cerro Pachón. Even though the moon is quite bright, the Milky Way, the Large Magellanic Cloud (appears as a white cloud), and the Small Magellanic Cloud (appears as a fuzzy patch closer to the horizon) remain visible in the night sky.
