Removing the KPVC 0.5-meter Mirror
Kitt Peak Visitor Center personnel Andy Sorenson, Dean Salman, and James Schweder remove the mirror of the KPVC 0.5-meter (20-inch) telescope from the Visitor Center observatory, preparing to take the mirror and telescope to its new home at the Visitor Center Roll-Off Roof Observatory. The dome next to the Visitor Center will soon be home to KPVC’s new 0.6-meter (24-inch) telescope.
