SARA Kitt Peak Telescope
The sky above the Sonoran Desert in Arizona is a beautiful sight above the SARA Kitt Peak Telescope. The constellation Orion, in particular, is seen descending into the horizon. Marking Orion's 'shoulder,' the red supergiant star Betelgeuse stands out from the array of white dots. In the background, the WIYN 3.5-meter Telescope is busy going through that night's list of astronomical targets.
