Gemini North at Night
The Gemini North telescope, half of the International Gemini Observatory, stars in this fulldome video. Sitting near the summit of Maunakea in Hawai‘i, this gigantic telescope with an 8.1-meter primary mirror is an astronomical force to be reckoned with. This telescope contributed to the 2020 Nobel Prize in Physics for testing general relativity near the center of the Milky Way. Not only that, it was also used to obtain the first direct images of a family of exoplanets.
