A Night at Cerro Tololo

Under the dark night sky at Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory (CTIO), the Milky Way indeed lives up to its name as a milky path of light. While the Milky Way traverses its path through the sky, the US Naval Observatory Deep South Telescope (far left) and the SMARTS 1.0-meter Telescope (far right) carry on through a night of observing.
